The Jsilva group sees in Ecofrutas a strategic platform for strengthening its presence in some of the most important external markets.
Founded in 1996 by a group of 16 farmers from the West zone of Portugal, Ecofrutas now occupies a reference position in the sector of the conservation and commercialization of apple and “Rocha” pear.

Through a strong investment in conservation infrastructures, Ecofrutas has a storage capacity of more than 10.000 tons of fruit, most of which are equipped with controlled atmosphere technology. In this context, having focused its efforts to the internationalization, it currently supplies some of Europe's leading retailers, exporting to the American and African Continent and to the Middle East.

Being currently the 2nd largest shareholder, the Jsilva Group sees in Ecofrutas a strategic platform to strengthen its presence in some of the most important external markets.
